No, not fat - though I wouldn't mind losing weight until I reach the medically ideal weight for a 5' 10" man: 140 lbs.

But, as I previously wrote, the benefits of such a regimen are stunning. (If you want to read the New England Journal of Medicine article, let me know. I've already scanned and distributed it, so it's no extra work for me.) I probably won't continue every other day fasting for long - though it sure would be neat to do it for a month! I'll quit when either my will power or health take a downturn.

Are you fat and desperately trying to lose some weight?

If not I think what you are 'planning on doing' is a little on the insane side.

In my opinion, fasting once a week for a few weeks to see how your body takes it might be OK . . . But deliberately starving yourself every other day?
