I looked at pictures of nice little towns I passed through last May and can’t believe they’re no longer there, like Chimney Rock. There is lots of up and down, hills, mountains, valleys, etc., and so it seems extremely difficult to find those missing as the landscape and forests were quite elaborate to navigate even before when everything was fine and beautiful. This must have been the largest hurricane devastation ever across states, not just one location.

Meanwhile there is another one coming in the Gulf, and this one will affect south Florida all the way down to Miami by Wednesday.

From fires to tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, there seems to be no place safe, look at Vermont recently for example, from weather related disasters, even in Europe and the Mediterranean……

Great area, was there last May and in fact stayed in Boone NC.
