>>> there is a big difference between being overwhelmed by "black noise" into a state of confusion and being willfully stupid, like the Pffffarters.
Absolutely agree.
My reference is to those that are overwhelmed by the 'climate change' bs, the demoncrap deluge of BS in the election, and, in particular, the INDIVIDUAL websites of ALL CANDIDATES and the public offerings on 'candidate information' that are EXTREMELY difficult to verify or even wade through all the crap.
Also, include in the willfully stoopid (in spades) the pro-palestinian 'protestors'.
An example of where I find problems in 'discernment' is the recent PaulCraigRoberts article about Ukraine. A while ago, I spent quite a few days attempting to bring myself up to speed on the history of Ukraine - and wandered into a maze of mythic proportions of information that left me with a net negative of return on time invested. The PCR article was similar to a lot of that type of information - very similar to the side being presented by what I eventually decided was disinformation sourced from Russian sources such as Pravda.
The essence of all well crafted lies (ie. believable) is that they contain kernels of truth. There is just so damn much other crap, it has become VERY difficult to pick out those kernels from amongst all the fertilizer - which is the category that I have now placed PCR in - his Ukraine stuff, and other articles with 'clearly questionable' history on a wide variety of topics, such as even the Korean War. History that went against ANYTHING that I had ever heard before.
For most people the issues in the Middle East also fall in that category. We on this board have a pretty solid knowledge about the Mid-East, so we are not nearly as subject to the current tidal waves of fecal matter coming from many directions.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good ...
