I'm surprised that Hurricane Helene didn't move more voters into Trump's camp. After all, FEMA's response in North Carolina has been awful, and it sure looks like emergency funds have been mismanaged. However, Quinnipiac has a reputation for leaning left.

Former President Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris by seven percentage points in a new Georgia poll released on Wednesday, just weeks ahead of the November election.
The Quinnipiac poll found Trump was leading in Georgia, with 52% of respondents stating they favor the former president, versus 45% backing Harris. Two percent said they are voting for other candidates. The number is a slight shift in Trump's favor compared to a poll on Oct. 1, where Trump received 50% of the vote and Harris received 44%.
The survey also looked at the presidential election in North Carolina, where Harris is narrowly leading Trump by two percentage points, which is within the margin of error.
"Between them, there's a mother lode of electoral votes ready to be mined. One state favors Trump. The other is up for grabs," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said. "Georgia is on their minds and for now Trump is humming along and hoping to hold that old sweet song through Election Day."
The poll also found that Trump was favored on all topics in Georgia, except for abortion. Trump was also favored on immigration and the economy in North Carolina, but Harris was more trusted in the Tar Heel State on matters like emergencies, protecting democracy, abortion, and a national crisis that endangers the United States.
The polls were conducted from Oct. 10-14, and surveyed 1,328 likely voters in Georgia, and 1,031 likely voters in North Carolina. The margins of error were 2.7% for Georgia, and 3.1% for North Carolina.
