Electricity went out on the entire island of Cuba after one of its main power plants failed, according to Cuba’s Energy Ministry.
Cubans have been grappling with rolling blackouts for months, including some outages that last up to 12 hours. Prime Minister Manuel Marrero blamed the grid failures on deteriorating infrastructure, fuel shortages and rising electricity demand.
