Netanyahu has no real interest in making peace after the death of Yahya Sinwar. His aim is still to crush and humiliate the Gazan people until Hamas is no more. But to me, he will achieve the complete destruction of Hamas only by killing everyone in Gaza. And that just isn't a goal any Israeli should wish to achieve.

I appreciate that Israel doesn't wish to live in fear. But that cannot justify a genocide against all of their neighbours.
