I have one of those battery powered chainsaws they sell at lowes. It works good and I do all the cutting with it. Mz ribit doesn't have to do anything except carry the batteries and the beer and sandwiches and whilst I am having lunch she can entertain herself by taking the limbs to the burn pit. It's the TOGETHERNESS MOMENTS like this that hold our marriage together.

Forget about the loppers. That's extremely difficult once the weather turns cold. Even lopping a 2" trunk is difficult.

I bought 15 (I think... but maybe 12) Swiss bow saws from SportsmansGuide maybe 15 years ago. They're great, but that doesn't mean that the sawing is easy. It's never easy except on extremely soft wood like Sumac.

Trust me: A small chain saw is the way to go. If you don't think so, try sawing through your Christmas tree this January... while lying beneath it.
