The years listed at the bottom of the graph are off by about six months. I think we have about that much MORE time than the graph says.

But the graph shows the maximum time until debt unsustainability. The minimum time could be as soon as tomorrow. I imagine that a day will arrive when the government, knowing that not much time is left, will impose draconian measures... most likely including the exchange of all U.S. dollars for U.S. digital dollars... with a massive loss in value for everyone, of course.

If you want more details, reread my July 29th post.

Re: “Today it jumped again. In three weeks, the debt has soared by a quarter trillion. If it continues at this rate - which seems inconceivable but is in keeping with my ellipse graph - it will be at $36 trillion by the end of October.”That's what I wrote on August 23rd. It was an outlandish prediction but I went with it.

On October 4th, I knew my prediction was not looking good. I posted "With less than a month to go, I don't think it's very likely, but it's thinking about it. I'm not going to rule anything out." At the time, the national debt was $35,674,736,612,816.

And so, today, November 1st, I'm forced to admit defeat. But I haven't been TOTALLY humiliated. You can decide for yourself whether the current debt keeps us on course for TEOTWAWKI as per my "ellipse" graph. I'll post that graph again following this message.
