I just announced my intention to my wife to start driving to The Big City every second day to load up on canned and dried foods. I think we should have years' worth, and I don't want to acquire them so abruptly that the purchases attract attention or get us banned from the stores.

There's a good chance that this food will spoil before we use it. I'm willing to take that risk.

The years listed at the bottom of the graph are off by about six months. I think we have about that much MORE time than the graph says.

But the graph shows the maximum time until debt unsustainability. The minimum time could be as soon as tomorrow. I imagine that a day will arrive when the government, knowing that not much time is left, will impose draconian measures... most likely including the exchange of all U.S. dollars for U.S. digital dollars... with a massive loss in value for everyone, of course.

If you want more details, reread my July 29th post.
