I see I accomplished my objective... I am delighted!
It's a year that the Big Ten actually has several very good football teams that could compete head to head with the usual good teams in the SEC.
I personally would love to see the head to head matchups.
They should be required to play each other every season.
The problem is that the schools are always worrying about getting a loss on them so they avoid it.
Be careful what ya wish for.. I remember very well my alma mater came within a whisker of defeating the vaunted Bulldogs for the national title and they were not nearly as big as the big football schools in the Big Ten..
I am all in favor of having SEC team play against the Teams in the Big Ten. It would be good for everyone and maybe there could be plenty of money raised to help out people who are in desperate need..
My older son and I went to the Longhorn/Razorback game. Ewers was not as sharp as he could have been, but no turnovers for the Horns. Razorbacks never gave up, but their fumble in the fourth quarter knocked the wind out of them.
And, ribit is correct ... the season ain't near over, yet. By the time the playoffs are ready to start, at most, there will only be two Big 10 teams in the Top 5. Anytime the top 6 of the Big 10 (Oregon, Ohio State, Indiana, Penn State, Iowa & Minnesota or Illinois) wants to go head-to-head with the top 6 of the SEC (Texas, Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama, Tennessee & Ole Miss), I have only two words, "Bring it!"
