Thanks, ribit. Unfortunately, while many quantum phenomena have been observed, there is no clear understanding of why they act as they do. A conclusion that "death doesn't exist" could, at best, be termed a guess.

My own opinion is that time as we perceive it doesn't exist. That means life doesn't exist and, in a way, the headline must be correct - albeit, decidedly less reassuring. Still, "Cogito, ergo sum".

I'm currently 75% through my second quantum mechanics book, "In Search of the Big Bang." Good book. I'm finding it harder than the previous one even though the two are by the same author.
