Sir wizard

Actually that's not far from the truth.

The "YOU" inside of that body actually is what we call the Spirit. Its the part of you that lives and is alive and is everlasting, not eternal.
WHY not eternal?

Because by definition to be eternal means to have no beginning or end. GOD is eternal. Mankind and in particular our Spirit is everlasting. It has a definite beginning but no end..

To your point, yes, once we lay down this body and leave it we are no longer bound by it, confined by it, nor time. Just as GOD Himself is not bound by time, time no longer is a part of our lives although scripture does indicate a time period of a thousand years when Satan is confined and locked up and the demonic angels. Eventually they all wind up in the eternal Lake of Fire along with all people who rejected Christ the Son of God.

Not that it matters a whole lot because once I have left my body I will be present with The Lord in HIS Holy place, Heaven. As will all who have have come to Christ through out all the ages.

Every knee shall BOW and every mouth shall confess that Christ is LORD to the Glory of the FATHER.

There is a great song sung by the group Mercy Me called

"I can only Imagine".

I highly recommend it. Ya can hear it on U tube. It is moving.

As for all this other contemplation over science and the Universe, ONE DAY we are going to know those answers anyway so I will just wait until then.

No point in me wondering about them now anyway.. I'll find out soon enough. As we all will. Thumbs Up Very Happy

Just me, but I would simply say that "death" is the transitional process by which we are removed from the illusory confines of "time" back into reality.
