Well, for most drivers in Texas, the posted speed limit is a suggested lower end of the acceptable range, where 20 mph higher is the median of said range. We all pretty much have lead feet pressing down on the accelerator ... and with the ever-increasing number of people moving (or is that "invading"?) to Texas, it can sometimes quickly become a game of bumper cars, if not an outright demolition derby.

My lovely wife is happy to do her share of the driving and she does a good job of it. My only concern from time to time is the matter of anticipation ... sometimes she needs to push her focus just a little further out ... but, I keep my mouth shut, and on rare occasion, grin and bear it.

However, she is content to have me do the lion's share of the driving. I am blessed that she is NOT a backseat driver. Although, every once in awhile ... when I am testing the "median of the speed limit range" ... she will gently remind me that we really do not need to get to our destination earlier than planned.

Hey, micro ... is it still really cold there? Must make giving hand signals while driving a lot more difficulty, eh?

SO, when you are out in your family vehicle with jes you and yer other half, how many of ya have the other half critiquing your driving and yer speed and telling you what the speed limit is and what YOU are going, even when you are going less than the speed limit?

I don't think its unique to my household. I'm wondering if its a female thing?
