...I think perhaps Luigi hurt his back (reported in news) and got involved with pain killers. This pushed him over the edge. Not that he was very far from the edge to begin with. I think the correct psychological term is "Batshit crazy". Don't try to pull that term up on google. It brings up a pic of zz.

Hmmm. The Mangione family owes its vast wealth to running Lorien Health Services - which heads a bunch of family-owned nursing care facilities. See the mission statement to the right. The family also owns dozens of businesses and a posh resort with thousands of acres in one of the most expensive districts in the United States.

Just a few days ago, the Lorien mission statement read "When Nicholas and Mary Mangione founded Lorien Health Services, they set out to provide Maryland Seniors with pride and dignity ..." The statement has been changed, and the change occurred BEFORE Luigi's identification and arrest! So they knew.

This has got me wondering if Thompson's assassination wasn't tied to business and family loyalties... pulled straight out of some unaired Soprano's episode.
