micro,

No problem, mi amigo.

I've witnessed a little too much Sunday morning (only) Christianity to subscribe to the formal program. On the other hand, people like the formerly-alive Christopher Hitchens who make a living off of commercialized atheism make me sick to my stomach.

I believe in being a good person and doing good things. And if you have to trumpet those good things, they don't really count. I like to buy foster kids Christmas presents every year through a program that ribit knows about. I spend more on each kid than any person I actually know. I like that. I've negated the positive karma by speaking about that for the first time, but hopefully I’ve done enough similar things to keep me pointed in the right direction. If that’s not good enough when I croak, I guess any reward I’m denied wouldn’t make much sense to me, either.

And if anybody ever tries to infringe upon your rights to your beliefs, I will bring a butter knife to the gunfight to protect them.

Scube,

I am a little dense and sometimes simply completely do not see the subtle humor. MY BAD.

I agree with you about Religion. A person can be as religious outwardly in appearance and do all kinds of things including building another tower to the Heavens.

There is no need for anyone to be ready to fight and should not be with regard to true faith .

ALL is good here and no animus at all with De ir anyone else. This board is a collection of vast broad backgrounds and experiences and higher learned folks.

Its why I truly enjoy the various views expressed and do some learning at the same time.

Sorry for making things a little "uncomfortable" and inappropriate for the board.

Best wishes for a great New Year!
