And as of 11:55 a.m. eastern time, it's been snowing here for about eight hours. 'cuz we aren't supposed to get any snow. That's how it works.

Not much accumulation, though. Maybe an inch, and since we round down, that means zero..

as of 10:18 a.m. eastern time snow has not yet begun here 34 miles east of cincinnati.

I just finished putting down ice melt all over the sidewalk, steps to the house and all around the tires of the cars and driveway.

Hopefully that will help somewhat.. I am not allowed to shovel snow and miz micro can't. So we'll be stuck inside fer a bit.

Hopefully this is much ado about nothing like it usually is. Less than three or four inches isn't even worth talking about.

Another variable is the type of snow. If its dry and powdery or wet. If its wet snow that sticks that poses a lot of problems for people who can't drive in snow and of course everyone else near them is in danger.

I personally love the snow. It's beautiful to look at and we don't get it very often here.

This time of year I have a soft spot for hungry animals and birds. Last year I bought 100 pounds of wild bird feed for the birds. They're hungry too. So are deer.

SO I'll put out some apples for them.

I hope they get enough to eat to see them thru a cold winter outdoors. I couldn't do it. I feel for them..
