It looks like the north pole around here.

We got 5 inches of snow last night and it is still coming down. A sea of white covering everything.

It would bother me except that I don't need to go anywhere and we stocked up on things we were low on and things we just wanted.

I am one of the few that actually enjoy the snow and winter. I guess I never grew out of that from being a kid and sled riding down large and long hillsides. Then picking up the sled and walking all the way back up and doing it over and over again.

Building snowmen and walls and having snowball fights with my brother and neighborhood friends. I have fond memories of playing in snow from my youth.

Now I have to see if I can get my grandson to come over and clear out the driveway. I should get a snow blower but we just don;t get this often enough to justify one and they are too heavy form e to move from storage to the driveway anyway.

I'm grateful for my grandson. He helps my wife and I a lot. We use those occasions to help him financially. He has a lot of college debt to repay. He also graduated about a month ago.

So he has his Bachelors degree now. We gave him a Thousand dollars in his graduation card that he could apply toward his debt. We'll help him a lot more in the coming months paying that off but ya can't get too carried away with a congratulations Graduate card with other family members there. Some things ya just do quietly in private behind the scenes.

I suspect that there will be a wedding coming sometime in the coming year or so when his girlfriend of the last four years graduates college from where he went to school also. She is a senor this year so around end of May she should be done with her Bachelor degree. She is one of four sisters. She's a pretty girl who is about 5 foot 8 inches and athletic and slim both.

Very quiet and polite. She'll fit in well with the family. We like her and she come to our home with Tyler for Holiday dinners and special occasions like Anniversaries and birthdays and Holidays.

I am planning a room addition to the homestead to make Miz micro happy. That means the driveways will have to be added to and widened as well.

As ya can't take anything with ya when ya leave this body and world behind, we may as well do some things we had planned on years ago.

The first thing we need to decide is whether we want to continue to live here or move to another location. Seems the Township administration thought it would be a great idea to put about 500 apartments in the field that is behind us. They are four stories high and about 450 apartment units.

To say we were more than a little pizzed would be an understatement and the Trustees and Township got more than an earful.. That was supposed to be R1 zoned for single family homes.

They aren't that close to our back yard but when something is large and massive even being several hundred feet away looms over ya.

So we have some decisions to make.. I do not particularly like having neighbors close as in a subdivision so I may have to look for land a little farther east in the country.. Miz micro will NOT want to cuz she loves supporting all the local stores.

So we shall see. I suppose I could put up a massive privacy fence. Still undecided about that. Tyler said that his Landscaping company he works part time for could put up a row of large arborvites across the back that would shield that out and act as a privacy fence. Its a good idea.

Anyway, I have to get dressed into clothing and get ready to sit around and look at the snow... lol!!!! It will be a busy day... Cheesy Grin

C'ya'll a bit later.....
