I've also fallen down stairs - while carrying a heavy box. Luckily, I wasn't seriously hurt, but I remember being sore for a while.

I've had many weird injuries - ranging from yellow jacket attacks to having a steak knife fall from a plate I was carrying and go straight into my little toe. (It bled like crazy and, I suspect, severed some nerves. It still hurts.) Oh well. Comes with age and not being dead, I suppose.
