Well De,
Here in Va Beach I don't believe the temperatures got below freezing last night. There was some sleet and it had started to accumulate on top of the trash can. . . But no sign of it today. My temperature at the moment is in the high 40's. (Fahrenheit.)
By the way, my experience has been that, in the winter time, clouds make things warmer. Up in Alaska, in the winter, when the sky was clear temperatures of minus 40 were common. . . Cloudy possible snowy it would get above zero - sometimes as 'Warm' as 20 degrees (Fahrenheit).
Here in Virginia Beach? Night before last it was clear - and ice formed in the drainage ditches of what used to be a golf course. Today is cloudy, rainy, and my phone says 47 degrees F.
