Just curious, but how did you get through the garage's concrete floor problem when putting in that full bath??? A jackhammer? Or did you tear down the garage and add on to it with additional flooring and plumbing for a bathroom? Either way, wow. A lot of work.

Good morning.

I could not pay anyone to come over to my house and do some shoveling and brooming. The snow is very light and fluffy kind. Not heavy and wet.
I used a broom to clean off the Porch landing earlier.

Miz micro says I now need to make my way to the driveway sweeping off the sidewalk and using the snow shovel on the driveway AFTER attempting to unbury the vehicles which are in the driveway.

My goal this year is to have a new garage added onto the house since I stole the original to make more room inside our home as well as additional bathrooms as we had two daughters and I was outgunned for bathroom privileges.

So I converted the garage into a nice laundry area, a second full bath, and a good size den/family room.

I need to finally get a Round Tuit to git a new garage added so miz micro can git into her car without being in weather.
Unfortunately, this means that to have a wide garage with additional space it cannot go out in front. At least I do not believe so.

So then I have to have the driveway run around the side of the house and thru the double gated fence to around the back side of the patio which is ten feet wide from the back door of the house.

SO, how to get to the garage from the house during inclement weather without getting rained or snowed on? I do not yet know how to enclose the patio because the Heat pump is sitting on it right next to the back door large stoop/landing.

If I make the garage free standing I can get a metal garage which would be substantially cheaper and I can turn it so there is a side door on it facing the house.

Also I can make it wider and as deep as I want. I just got to run a driveway around the sideyard to get to it.

SO I have to figger this out sometime this year to git it started.

Miz micro has wanted a garage for quite a while and now I can get this done.. It means a lot more driveway to clean snow off of so I can see a large snow blower or a larger tractor with a snow blade. I am getting too old to keep messing with snow using a shovel. Plus with the heart issue and other things it is not something I should be doing..

So This is what the year looks like from here.. Construction and new electrical panels installed cuz my original one is full and needs expanded anyway but we got to get power to the garage as well.

I think two individual garage doors with a separation between them and both motorized would be great with 8 ft. high walls, around 24 feet wide and 28 feet deep would be good. I can build plenty of storage into that..

SO that is what my new year looks like.. YMMV! Thumbs Up
