China has been investimg money on infrastructure around the world. A couple of years ago I mentioned that they have invested billions in modernizing the port of Pireas in Athens, one of the biggest in the Mediterranean, a real bonus to the Greek economy. I was raising an alarm at this and wondering why the US is not competing with China around the world in such a way. Well, the US only spends money when it comes to “military” type investments as in the northern city of Alexandroupolis, you can look it up.
Panama and Greenland are also receiving benefits from China investments there, while the US was asleep at the wheel.
Trump has no clue other than brute force to competition. He should instead call for US investments around the world instead of this imperialist Putinesque BS.
