Well, that's usually the problem for North Texas and Oklahoma, we typically get more ice (sleet & freezing rain) than snow. Snow is not that big of a problem ... unless it is measured in feet, like Buffalo ... but ice is a royal pain in the buttocks.

Sir Wizard,

that is amazing to me. I did not realize that Big D area had snowy and icy winter conditions.

I THOUGHT ( bad thing to do) y'all were too far south..

That is BAD having ice all over everything outdoors.

I cannot get ice melt here at the local stores. I have 3-5 more inches coming today and have half a 20 pound bag left.

Heading out soon to go try to find some more.

My daughter in Zim's neck of the woods bought an oceanside house in North Carolina a month ago. Maybe I should go down there and live for a month or two?

It'll be fun for the family.It has 5 bedrooms.

Now I have an excuse to go down there. I love the water.

Time to head out on looking for ice melt!
