I decided NOT to stay in Evansville last night when I was done with solving the problem at my client's place.

when I got on the interstate and accelerated up to speed all was well until about 12 miles north on I-69.

Then my Engine oil warning light came on.. I was wondering what the heck this was about as the vehicle performed so well coming down. So I went on slowly and finally came to an exit that said there was gasoline .

So I went to the station and filled up the tank with gas and got under the hood. I checked the oil and the dipstick had none showing.. I went inside and found oil on the shelf so I bought 4 quarts. It took 3 and one half quarts to put it at the proper level.

So I had some spare oil to take home with me..

I got back to the interstate and the engine warning light was still on. I accelerated on I-64 and the car would NOT go any faster than 60 mph.

It also was very underpowered and i struggled to get back home. Well, I took it straight to my mechanic's garage and left it. My son in law picked me up and took me home.

So today the garage is working on it and I am getting fresh oil change, engine analysis and a new set of tires all around. This was an expensive trip.

It will be interesting to see if the ligght comes back on again or stays off.

SO I amwaiting for the call to come pick it up.

A long night indeed.
