the answer is simply "NEITHER".

You read about things and make some determinations based on your own research. You are good at that. I see no worries. You have a very good Cardiologist and you likely have built up a great deal trust in him. As have I mine.

However, like you, I am no one to follow the herd. I have been susceptible to Pneumonia most of my life. So I take a Pneumonia vaccine. I also have taken a hepatitis vaccine so I do not get that ever again. It almost killed me last time.

But I don't always do what my primary care doctor always says. And I never put on one of those stupid masks during the pandemic. I simply avoided being near people.

SO, you have good judgment. ALL ya got to do is exercise it like ya always do.

If ya don't feel comfortable, ya can call me, Dr. micro anytime ya feel the need to.. (hey, if Jill Biden calls herself a doctor, I can too) Laughing Laughing

Re: “But I guess if you have cancer, a death sentence. It doesn’t matter.”
One of the worst things the pandemic did was to leave society with a deep distrust of all things medical. There are drawbacks to technology... and we've seen how thoroughly corrupt Big Tech has gotten. But technology is also the main reason we have long, mostly happy lives.

I've got a FB friend who frequently mentions that he has not taken any medicine (except herbal) in 50 years yet he's in perfect health. Yeah, well my sense is that he's lucky. Nemo was the same way (though Nemo was a smoker who courted his fate from the time he first picked up a cigarette.)

It's clear today that medical corruption is system wide and shouldn't be trusted. It's in our hospitals. It's in our doctors. It's in our medical journals and insurance companies and government. How, then, are we supposed to tell the good advice and therapies from the bad? In a way, we were fortunate that the clowns calling the shots throughout the pandemic were so transparently inept. It was easy to see that they were bumblers and crooks, with advice that defied all logic, consistency and common sense. But being crooks doesn't make them stupid. They'll learn from their mistakes, and next time it may not be so easy to spot the lies. I don't know what we're going to do. Become Luddites like my friend? Or turn into mindless, trusting sheep like clo and OCU?
