See that hole with water in the middle? That’s where the rest of the island stood before the explosion 4,500 years ago. One day it was …

They were much smarter than the Romans in Pompei and left the island before it blew up. No deaths. The old town was discovered unscathed under I believe more than 18’ of matter. Today, it can be visited and looks like the current buildings except not white. You can walk its streets and look inside shops.

Hope it doesn’t blow……
