If it's the average daily LOW temperature, then you're right. It's no big deal. If it's the average daily HIGH temperature, then some would consider 32° to be kind of cold. The issue might not even be the temperature; it could be about crops... and harmful frost or ice. And it might mean something else entirely. I'll note that the article refers to the potential for temperatures "reaching lows similar to last month's cold blast."

Additionally, the chart shows the vortex bringing temps that are 15° below normal... but it doesn't show how long the conditions will persist. For the typical Democrat voter, it matters: It's hard to wait out a week of freezing temperatures in a tent!
