C'mon Global Warming!

My wife and I may be 'holing up' for the next month. Our warming planet isn't doing what they promised. It's almost like . . . WINTER!

A few days ago I had to snow blow my driveway. Down, up, down and up. One mile total distance. The next day I went over it again with a hand shovel, getting rid of the spillover from the blower. The day after that we took the car to the other house and I cleared its driveway manually. Getting through its snowplow wall was challenging. It was 3½ feet high made largely of ice. (Salting is great for the street but makes for a sucky snowplow wall.) I had to go into the garage to retrieve a sledge hammer. That made quick work of the wall though the shoveling was backbreaking.

It's snowing right now, and we're getting freezing rain in a few hours. You can see what's coming Saturday and Sunday. It looks like I'll be repeating the work I did a few days ago but with even deeper snow. My fingers are crossed that the forecasts are "worst case scenarios" that don't come true. The prospect of 21 inches from Saturday to Sunday is daunting. Except for what I cleared, there's a foot on the ground already! But, bear in mind, this has still been a mild winter. What's coming Saturday will likely be the worst storm of the season.
