Re: “Her first flick was something called "Cactus Flower" with Walter Matthau and Ingrid Bergman.”It wasn't a bad movie - in the same vein as most "Neil Simon" plays though he wasn't involved. Goldie won an Academy Award for Cactus Flower (Best Supporting Actress).

This turned out to be something I already owned, so that's how I spent the last two hours.

I was reading today about Goldie Hawn - who made a name for herself playing, uh, HERSELF on TV's Laugh-In. It seems that for Goldie, her time there was incredibly stressful. She says she cried every day. So, after three years she left and had a go of it in movies.

Her first flick was something called "Cactus Flower" with Walter Matthau and Ingrid Bergman. Cactus Flower? Hmmmm. That sounds vaguely familiar.

I googled Cactus Flower and discovered a new streaming service: DailyMotion.com. I'm not sure exactly what the site's purpose is but those of you with an interest and better internet than I have can click the link below and watch the movie for free. If you watch it, please post a review so I'll know whether I want to do so too.

Meanwhile, here's to 'Cactus Flower' and our dearly departed 'friend'...
