Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

DOGE is asking for suggestions from the public. Unfortunately, a lot of stupid suggestions are pouring. Predictably, liberals are using the request to gripe about how wasteful the President is by going to NASCAR, the Superbowl and other major events, not appreciating that he has a need to be "out there" where the public can see him.

I just submitted one... something more practical, I think: Every government agency I know of goes on a spending spree at the end of fiscal years, blowing all excess cash in September rather than letting it carry over to October 1st. The reason is clear enough: If an agency has leftover cash, it has to be returned to the Treasury and the agency see it again. Moreover, it can be used against each Agency in theory... as an argument that "If you didn't use all your money in fiscal 2024, why should we give you so much in fiscal 2025?"

I think that if DOGE looks into this, they'll see that it's a government-wide problem. I'm not sure what the answer is, but agencies need to somehow be rewarded, not punished, for spending less.
