The Trump administration terminated hundreds of employees at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including fellows responsible for key public health roles, two sources at the agency said.

Those include workers at the Laboratory Leadership Service, which trains public health laboratory staffers and supports outbreak response, and a fellowship aimed at developing future public health leaders.
