...turned both on. Still Nada. I don't think there is much point in competing with microsoft for the right to use the product I paid for. MY only hope is that somebody sues em and I get to be on the jury.

It sounds like they might be hidden. That's just a security attribute that can be set on any file. Try this and hidden files will be visible to you from now on.


To see hidden files in Windows, open File Explorer, go to the "View" tab, and check the "Hidden items" box. For Windows 11, click the View button, hover over Show, and select "Hidden items."

You might want to turn on File Name Extensions on the same screen while you're at it. I don't know why anyone would want them off.
