Re: “If these figures are accurate, that works out to over $366,000 a day since Trump took office for his second term.”

Write this date down, because we've known each other for twenty-some years and this could be the first time that you've been absolutely right about something that matters. If what you say is accurate, President Trump has spent $366,000 per day playing golf-- which would be ridiculous.

But are you right? It sounds like you've got doubt. Maybe you'd best do more research before spreading a story you aren't sure about. But I won't be surprised if what you've written IS true - or, at least, partly true. I am wondering what it costs when a President does other things. Suppose he were to visit the Smithsonian. What would it cost? What about a visit to the Kennedy Center? What would THAT cost? Or bowling? Or going to McDonalds? It could just be that ANYTHING a President does costs a bundle. Maybe the issue, then, isn't so much that Donald Trump plays golf as that it costs too much to protect the President each day. I actually think that this would be an excellent thing for DOGE to investigate. Maybe there's a way to save the taxpayers some money. Offhand, though, I don't know what that would be.

It might also be that what you've written has a kernel of truth to it but is mostly false. Your sources, after all, generally leave a lot to be desired. Huffington Post? Its stories are always slanted!!! When the President goes to Mar-a-Lago, is it ONLY to play golf? Or is he hosting dignitaries and performing Presidential duties? Unlike Joe Biden who spent 40% of his Presidency on vacation and who got very little done even when he wasn't vacationing, Donald Trump has been incredibly accomplished and is fixing things at a breakneck pace. Therefore, maybe your claim that his trips are strictly for golfing are false, even if your report of money spent on Presidential weekends is correct. Look into this, OCU. I'll be interested in what you have to say.
