I can worry about china and russia simultaneously. An uncanny ability to multi-task.

Putin is worried about NATO coming into Ukraine and establishing bases a couple of hundred miles from Moscow. If we'd assured him that that wasn't going to happen, he wouldn't have invaded.

...Putin was and is planning whatever devilment he can dream up regardless of conditions near Moscow. His actions are not defensive.

Worry about China, not Russia. Putin doesn't need Ukraine's resources. He "owns" the largest country in the world. He's got resources coming out the yazoo.
