The problem with that . . .

As I recall Russia once promised never to invade Ukraine . . . they broke their word.

And I suspect, short of Ukraine getting nukes, the only way for Ukraine to be 'safe' from another Russian invasion is to join NATO.

And, you are right about China. Another dictatorial regime trying to expand its empire at the expense of its neighbors.

Worry about China, not Russia. Putin doesn't need Ukraine's resources. He "owns" the largest country in the world. He's got resources coming out the yazoo.
