"President Zelensky and I will be having some talks this afternoon and, hopefully, we will make some important decisions that will lead to Peace for Ukraine and economic benefits to both of our nations."

"Thank you, Mr. President. I appreciate the invitations to be here today."

That's how it was supposed to go... how such things traditionally go. But President Trump was set up. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was a Democrat plot. It stinks like one. It was that bad.

Zelensky clearly thought he could use the press and cameras to his advantage. He knew full well that the time for real discussions was afterwards, when cameras wouldn't be there to record and publicize whatever was said, but he figured he could pull a fast one.. It didn't go the way he thought it would, and I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to make up with President Trump right away instead of going home. After all, he's been bloodied... outmaneuvered. Going home this way with nothing to show for the trip except for a ruined relationship with the United States would be disastrous for him.
