Kursk offensive (2024-present) - Wikipedia

Zim : Personally, I do not like reading news articles that blatantly tell me things that I'm pretty sure just aren't quite right.

No More Globalist Delusions: Ukraine’s War Strategy Has Failed

The globalist vision for Ukraine is a fantasy. Washington (although this has changed with President Trump’s inauguration on the policy level), Brussels, and London pretend Kyiv can restore its pre-2014 borders, put Putin on trial, and impose lasting consequences on Moscow—all without answering a simple question: How? Where will the troops and weapons come from?

The math doesn’t work. Reclaiming lost territory—whether in Donetsk, Luhansk, or Crimea—would require hundreds of thousands of troops. Ukraine doesn’t have them. Europe has spent decades neglecting its defenses. And the United States is neither willing nor able to send an occupying force into a nuclear-armed Russia’s backyard.

A War Strategy Built on Delusions

Zim : Article does continue.

The article is correct in that the Euro-weenies do not have the military muscle to prosecute the war.

And then this :

What was Biden’s definition of victory, and what did his administration do to achieve it? If the goal was to bleed Russia dry, why is Russia in a stronger military position on the ground now?

Biden was the sort or incompetent clown who would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. As I recall, biden told Ukraine not to blast Russia's oil industry. (Presumably cause bite-me did not want American gas prices to go up after all.) But if Ukraine wanted to have a chance of winning destroying Russia's oil industry was a good step to take.

And that 'Russia in a stronger military position'? If Russia is in such a 'strong military position' - then how come they have to buy missiles and drones from N. Korea and Iran? How come Russia has to buy ammunition from N.Korea and how come Russia has to hire soldiers from N.Korea? How come Russia is reduced to using very old cold ware era tanks?

I think Trump needs to find some real very smart 'war fighters' to study the situation and find strategies that might lead to victory. I think Trump also needs to find some real smart 'economic whiz kids' who can also think outside the box and determine just what Russia's real economic reality is. And decide what to do with honest information in his hands.
