Hi Sire!
I have walked Marshall's campus and talked with some of the former players on the football team in days gone by.
They have a beautiful Stadium there in Huntington near the banks of the Ohio River. They are a first class small university with emphasis on Academics.
I like the campus and their stadium and their academics program.
Obviously they are a good football team in their own school size division. They are no match for Georgia or Alabama or Texas or most other SEC teams or D1 schools.
BUT, that said, this is an extreme mismatch but it does allow Marshall to get some money for playing a top tier team.. So in a sense its kind of a generous offer. Georgia gets an easy win to start off the season and Marshall gets an economic windfall and the crap beat out of them..
