HOwever what we had plenty of and played dodgem's with was NAPALM Bombs. Sometimes we got pinned down and needed to call in for either artillery or the air force would come and drop some napalm bobs on a hilltop and backside for us.
Napalm is some nasty stuff. Sometimes we would just shoot charlie to put him out of his misery after getting napalmed and being ablaze and still alive.
Yeah ... the NVA and Viet Cong were on the run for awhile ... if only LBJ had had the intestinal fortitude to follow through and continue to feed ribit beans for breakfast, lunch & dinner while he was over there ... the entire jungle would have been littered with dead NVA and Viet Cong and it would have been smooth sailing all the way to Hanoi.
