President Donald Trump ordered the release of approximately 1,123 PDF files of previously classified documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, fulfilling a long-standing promise to declassify all remaining records.

These files, part of the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection, are accessible online at the National Archives (JFK Release 2025) or in person at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland.

Internet sleuths and researchers have been combing through these files, uncovering what they believe are significant revelations.

Below are some highlights found online (some of which were previously known):

This CIA memo from September 24, 1963, shows Lee Harvey Oswald was actively being monitored by the CIA at least 59 Days before JFK was Assassinated
Oswald made contact with the Soviet Embassy in Mexico City, where he inquired about travel to the USSR.
This document hints the CIA might have been using Oswald.
His tracked visit, combined with no apparent action despite his Soviet ties, suggests he couldâ€™ve been an asset or pawn under surveillance, not just a lone figure.
How many times have we heard the CIA or FBI was tracking someone, only for them to commit a heinous act?

Gary Underhill claimed the CIA was responsible for JFKâ€™s assassinationâ€”then he was later found dead in what was ruled a â€œsuicide.â€

Less than six months later, Gary was found shot to death in his apartment.
It was ruled a suicide.

A man named Sergy Czornonoh allegedly had knowledge that Oswald would be killed after assassinating Kennedy and that Martin Luther King Jr. would also be assassinated. He also knew in advance that Kennedy would be killed in Dallas.

Jack Ruby was the man who killed the assassin of John F. Kennedy so that we would never see a trial of Lee Harvey Oswald. Here, Jack Ruby (Rubenstein) says that his killing of JFK's assassin was motivated by him being a Jew, and interestingly refers to Lee Harvey Oswald as a rat.

Just hours after Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover demanded a quick public report to stop conspiracy theories from spreading.
Hoover wrote that â€œthere is nothing further on the Oswald case except that he is dead,â€ and he wanted to ensure the public believed Oswald acted alone. The memo also shows the FBI was frustrated that Oswaldâ€™s murder left them without a chance to get more answers.

After JFK was assassinated, the Soviet Union feared a rogue U.S. general might launch a nuclear strike in retaliation.
The memo details how Soviet officials believed JFKâ€™s murder was part of an extremist plot and that the real danger was an â€œunbalancedâ€ U.S. military officer using it as an excuse to start World War III.
Soviet intelligence quickly moved to calm tensions, fearing an overreaction from Washington.

An interview with FBI Assistant Director Alan Belmont on May 6, 1964, includes questions about Ruby and Oswaldâ€™s connections on page 27, but many pages are missing, with the interview supposedly extending to page 473.

CIA cable reveals a call on November 23, 1963, from a man claiming to be a Polish driver for a Russian vehicle.
He warned of Soviet plans to pay someone in the U.S. to assassinate the president.
C/S Comment:
"Touched on several areas including possible Soviet connection supplying money to individual in U.S. to assassinate President; possible Soviet implication in U.S.S. Trucker incident, etc."
The cable flagged the matter as top priority with immediate security concern.
