I used that Win 7 emulator for some stuff for quite a while. I wouldn't be surprised if it's gone in 11, not sure. 10 to 11 is much more incremental than 7 to 10, superficially.

Most programs I use have native language capabilities far superior to my last experiences with Dragon Naturally Speaking. Office has left 2007 far behind. Even the current Excel and Word extensions probably aren’t compatible. I know it’s hard to spend a hundred bucks or so every fifteen years, but that’s the price we must pay these capitalist inventor pigs until we can implement this whole socialist thing properly.

Scubavol,

Re: “It's no easier or harder to hate Microsoft using 11 than 10.”
Except that I have software that cannot be reinstalled (Dragon Naturally Speaking, Microsoft Office 2007.) I don't even know if Dragon can still be purchased. Nuance phased it out years ago. Just as importantly, I don't need or want to downgrade to Windows 11. I wasn't happy about Windows 10. Even Windows 7 broke the Photo Software I used to use under Windows 2000 - and it was better than anything I've seen since.

I'd have stayed with Windows 7 if I could have and currently use the Classic Shell software that makes Windows 10 look like 7. I wonder if it will continue to work once Windows 11 is forced on me..
