Yep- free alternatives available, no bitching required. I don't care for it, personally, or the Google stuff (which I use on a limited basis), so I'll probably buy a personal basic Office subscription after I fire myself next month. Never done that before as I've had it in a work environment, but I'll buy it I decide it's worth the price to me and not spend time complaining.

Last time I checked . . . (and correct me if I'm wrong) . . . microsoft office went to a 'Lease' plan. And I'm assuming one would have to 'RE-PAY' for it every year. No thanks.

There is that 'Open Office' (Libre-office?) which seems to do most of what microsnot-orifice does. . . No Access in it. . . . And back when I was working I found it would open word and excel documents with no problems.

Libre-Office is available for Windoze.
