George Wythe was Thomas Jefferson's teacher and he was professor at William and Mary.

He also was one of the signers of the Declaration.

Its tough to try and remember the signers.

The Adam's boys. Sam and John, James Madison who was lifelong friend of Jefferson's. His wife Dolly is easier to remember.. I used to know about 25 in my memory because this was an era of study for me. I have an entire Library shelf full of nothing except the Founding Fathers and And History of the United States.

My Oldest Grandson who is a History Teacher now wants my library collection because it is ninety percent History of the United States and the rest is classic literature.

The old expression "Knowledge is a terrible thing to waste" is a great saying as well as "those who do not know history are doomed to repeat the failures thereof."

Always good talking with ya De! We have a lot in common..

Re: “Two? Maybe. Three at most ? That sounds about right..”
An interesting question. I could only come up with seven. Then I thought about Virginia colleges and came up with two more. I don't think Radford was a founder, and there's one more who I don't think was a founder though he was an early vice president, so I'll stay with nine. That's not too good.
