I was going to tell you that these Aussies are a bunch of wimps. At the end of day three, four have already quit the game. There aren't even any predators afoot. Not yet. And where they are, there won't be any snow and there is plenty of rain (so, drinkable water.)

Then, on day four, Gina recounted that it was the 12th anniversary of her only child's birth. Four days later, Gina was told that she had cancer and she had to terminate the pregnancy or die. She refused. Chemo babies are usually tiny, but when Blaise was born, she was 4.5 kg (9 lb 15 oz). Gina went into remission.

Three years later, Blaise got cancer. She spent nine days in the ICU and then she died.

On day four of Alone Australia, Gina cried and cried. I can't say I blame her. She's stronger than me.

I took someone to Hartford as an ice storm approached, leaving me stranded for three days. The old house is reachable though, so it's a great opportunity to marathon-stream some TV.

I just discovered "Alone Australia" on Netflix. I think it's the same as the American version, 'cept everyone talks funny. (How can anyone put two syllables into "snow"??) I'll do my best to watch all twelve episodes on Sunday.
