Sure.
If Russia can be trusted . . . which, so far, I don't think it can. Do not forget that putin seized Crimea and half the Ukrainian Donbas back in 2014 . . . in violation of previous agreements.

As I see it, if all putin really wanted was Crimea and Donbas . . he HAD peace with Ukraine which meant him 'owning' Crimea and Donbas. Instead, in 2022 putin tried invading and seizing ALL of Ukraine.

And if we ever want to have peace all over this planet . . that sort of behavior needs to be Stomped Down Hard.

Zim, another option would be for Ukraine to acknowledge the captured lands as lost PROVIDED they become independent, neutral, border states - not part of Russia.

Why would Russia maybe agree to this? Tthat is where the concessions and creative negotiations come in.

I think an economic/trading alliance between the US and Russia would benefit both countries enormously. And, as I already said, it would put a substantial damper on Chinese expansion. (which would be a huge benefit to the US and to the world).

What do you think of that?
