Re: “God an individual? What ever happened to 'The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost'?”
Great point! That slipped my mind.

You know, Christianity wasn't the first to come up with the idea of a Trinity. Hinduism had it, with Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. Christians often claim that these three were just three gods in the pantheon, but Hindu friends of mine assure me that they represent everything. Then, the Egyptians had Horus, Osiris and Isis. The Romans were first with the word Triumvirate, but it related to their military not their religion.

Small wonder, then, that Christianity went this route too.

Did you know that there is no mention of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament? Or of Jesus either, of course. That implies to me that God was *not* a Trinity... not until Jesus was born of Mary, about 2028 years ago.

That said, He's a Trinity today. And that begs the question, are God's preferred pronouns They/Them and not He/Him?

Getting back to my first point on the subject, I think God, like humans, may be comprised of many, many, many living entities. Our bodies are built from about 37 trillion cells and it is only by their union that we are deemed individuals. I think this may be analogous to God's own construction. You'll note that computers are being built that way these days. One CPU, after all, has its limits, but there is no upper bound on the number that can work in tandem. Just a thought...

PS: I like the poem!

God an individual? What ever happened to 'The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost'?

One of my alter egos wrote this a long long time ago . . .

. . . . . . . LIFE
. . .
What is the meaning of life?
. .Is it two kids and a wife?
Or is it all planned?
. .Some cosmic grand stand?
. . . . .To temper man with strife?

For instance, why do men wage war?
. .Is it for fame, glory, and more?
Or do men fight to entertain?
. .The Gods upon a higher plain?
. . . . .To train men for some chore?

Or maybe it's all a cosmic joke?
. .A belly laugh of gods who smoke?
While we plot and we graph,
. .They smoke and they laugh,
. . . . .And yet, our spirits not broke.

We hide from the truth, it's true.
I don't want to know - do you?
