Well said! And I agree with your distinction between good science and good math! It is the goal of science to DISPROVE things, NOT to prove them! It makes a "hypothesis" and then -- all the REAL scientists -- do their damnedest to Disprove the hypothesis. The clowns stand in back and promote the hypothesis as "truth".

If the hypothesis cannot YET be disproved, after prolonged atttempt, it gets elevated as a valid MODEL or Theory, while the search continues for a disproof or, at least, a partial disproof ... which will lead toward a more correct model/theory.

The key tipoff that someone is NOT actually a scientist (e.g. Fauci was not a scientist) is when they start MOUTHING about how you are supposed to "believe" the science and the scientists who puff things.

Scientists are BY DEFINIITION supposed to be constructive SKEPTICS. And recognize when they are out of their area of expertise ... so they will upgrade their background knowledge before opening their mouths too wide.

This is a good hypothesis. Good not in the sense that it is necessarily correct but in that it opens wide a FALSEHOOD which has been widely accepted as, ipso facto, proven: that humans have only one ancestor (even though there are a ton of things about that which don't make good sense and have little to no evidence with current explanations).

---

I'm going to go one step further and state something which is not "politically correct" but is backed by the overwhelming majority of evidence..and common sense:

"Humans" are NOT one species. Before the recent push by Our Masters to "blend" all cultures and genotypes together to create a mediocre mashup of AVERAGE characteristic, humanity was well down the road toward a multiplicity of sub-species with very different temperments, strengths, and capabilities.

Blending everything together is NOT a particularly good idea -- it is guaranteed to create average. The truth is some sub-species of humanity are better at throwing a spear and some sub-species produce nearly all the geniuses. To deny that is to deny reality and common sense ... which makes our Master happy, but doesn't promote humanity into the future very well.

Re: “Hyup - sounds like absolute proof that cross species, with different chromosome counts, can interbreed”
Science can disprove things, but it almost never proves them. Math can do that, but not science. With a high degree of confidence, though, I think it can be said that you're right: Cross species, with different chromone counts, can sometimes interbreed. Can the mule characteristics be passed along? I don't know. Until it happens again and we can study the genes, we'll just have to treat it as possible. After all, BOTH parents contribute to their progeny's genetic composition, do they not?
Re: “Since the 16th century, fewer than 60 documented cases of fertile female mules have been recorded globally.”Old Beck was a hundred years ago, but if the mule population is steady then we get about ten of these fertile mules per century. Hopefully scientists will get a better understanding of what's occurring before long.

Meanwhile, with regard to the Pig-Man possibility, it behooves us to keep an open mind. It's an intriguing possibility, and very interesting that humans and pigs have so many common characteristics unshared by any other creatures.
