The logical policy is to avoid it. Since that's a practical impossibility, the next best thing is to not trust it. That's quite different from always assuming anything, good or bad, about it. It can't be trusted. Make no assumptions.

See, once you realize YOUR government has been committing all manner of atrocities around the world, for decades, AND LYING ABOUT ITS CRIMES -- ACTUALLY COMMITTING FELONIES TO COVER FELONIES, you are *naive* (part of the problem) if you dont' assume the worst about it at all times.

The biggest challenged for America is to get to the point where it stops believing its government is "good", that its military is "good", that "we are the good guys".

Only from there can we -- as informed soverigns and adults -- begin to rebuild a country, and a government, which actually is on the side of good, truth, freedom, and Democracy. The world could really use a good example of these things.

The good news of Russia is that it shows an example that a FAILED, corrupt nation CAN be rebuilt toward Christianity, unity, productivity, and strength. I am not making apologies for what is still wrong with Russia ... but trying to say the US CAN rehabilitate with the right "Twelve Step" program and a few decades of hard, honest work.
