re: McDonald's restaurants in Europe will soon be swapping the chain's legendary "service with a smile" with "service with a beep."
From a customer's point of view, that will probably be a big improvement. I gave up on fast food employees about the time they lost the ability to understand English ... or couldn't grasp simple questions such as 'Is anything on sale this month?'
I only wish computers could be the ones stuffing the bags as well. It would be nice if I could be confident that my fast food orders are properly filled. (They only are about 60 percent of the time.)
