If we humans are ever going to make progress we need to get clear that THE FUNDAMENTAL DIVIDE IS BETWEEN COMMUNISTS AND INDIVIDUALISTS.
Individualists only want freedom for themselves and their creations. They want to produce as much, or more, than they consume. It is a moral matter for most of them and a matter of personal integrity. They want ownership of their own body and the output of their own efforts (private property). They don't want more than they can morally create or consensually barter.
Communists want MORE than they are able to or willing to create. That is, they want to consume OTHER PEOPLE AND OTHER PEOPLES' PROPERTY. The DEFINITION of being a Communist is wanting to belong to a 'commune' -- a 'common pool' -- where there isn't a clear dividing line between one person's output and another's. People don't choose communism because they want to support strangers against their own free will. They choose it (if they have the intellect to choose at all) because they want others to support THEM against the others' free will.
The Communists can be divided into those who control and those who don't. Putin and Obama, Reagan and Clinton, Hitler and Stalin, Alexander the Great and Attila the Hun, Schwartzenagger and Jerry Brown, are famous examples of those who controlled. Note that there are only ever a few of the Communists who ever control very much for very long -- and from their position of supreme control, dish themselves out a sumptuous feast of other peoples' bodies and other peoples' production. The rest of the Communists are folks like Clo: the wanna-be and wanna-be-nothing folks. Few of the folks like Clo are rationally aware, or rationally able to explain, their boundaries. They mostly just know that they WANT and they don't quite understand why Santa Claus can't come around every day and leave presents under their Christmas trees.
I classify Communists as Morlocks and Eloi -- the wily predators and the dumb cows -- and I think that accurately encompasses all of them.
I believe that pretty well sums up ALL of politics and human property interactions. Any rational comments or questions?
