I hear you, but according to the poll, Republicans who feel that way at least recognize it as a shameful character flaw. Only 28 percent admit that they favor wealth redistribution.

Republicans seem to understand that 'wealth redistribution' is theft and that theft is wrong.

I give them credit for that. Their parents at least TRIED to raise them right.

Democrats, by and large, are the victims of bad parenting. When they were kids, they weren't taught the difference between right and wrong... or that doing the right thing actually matters.

Perhaps one of the liberals here can tell us which it is.

Of course, probably 71% of REPUBLICANS believe in redistributing wealth, also.

Taxing ME to fund their global empire or taxing ME to fund their medicare or taxing ME to fund their whatever is STILL redistribution.

I favor a system where anyone who votes FOR any bill which costs money (and they all cost money) or votes into office any "representative" who then votes FOR any bill costing money should assess the "for" taxpayer a minimum tax increase of TWICE .. but ideally more like ten times .. the per capita cost of the legislation. Those who vote FOR war, for medicare, for ANYTHING should pay through the teeth AND BE PROUD TO DO SO TO PROVE THEY AREN'T HYPOCRITES OR COMMUNISTS.

Sacrifice should start with sacrificing YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY. Obama -- as Bush before him -- should have sent his wife and children off the front line in Afghanistan as the price of admission.

Of course, there are the shoulds and the realities. In reality Communists of both parties want SOMEONE ELSE to do the heavy lifting and make the "sacrifices".
